A message from High School Football Shikellamy Braves Football Coach Jim Keiser

Guys I hope everyone is doing well and I hope you are getting some workouts in during this time. First I want to give you the code to get on the remind app. Send text to 81010 and then text the message @46c368.

We cannot meet until July 1 per the PIAA so keep working and sign up on the remind app. All summer meetings and workouts will involve the entire program from 7th to 12th grade.

John Vovakes will be serving as Head Junior High Football Coach so if you have any issues or questions he can be contacted at 570-452-1200 or as well. Continue to take care of your health and get some physical exercise in each day!

Attention 6th Graders!!!

The McKinney-Vento Homeless Act guarantees a free and appropriate public education for all homeless children and youth. Federal and state laws make the school district’s responsibility clear.

  • A student whose family becomes homeless may remain in the school he/she was attending prior to becoming homeless for the duration of the school year.

  • If it is feasible, a student may transfer to a school if it is closer to his/her transitional housing.

  • The receiving school may not prevent or delay the enrollment of a homeless child by requiring proof of residency or lack of documentation such as immunization records.

  • Transportation for homeless must begin within 5 school days, but sooner if possible.
